The First Woodstock
When it comes to defining pop culture moments in history, there are some things that initially spring to mind. Many of us tend to romanticize certain moments from the past that we were never a part of, simply due to thinking how wonderful it would have been to be there. But just because something seems romantic, doesn’t mean that it was all it was cracked up to be.
The famous Woodstock festival took place in 1969 and every free soul surrounding the New York state area made their way to the Yasgur dairy farm for a good time. And whilst it might have seemed like the golden era of free love, there were many things that weren’t up to code when it came to the festival. Nevertheless, this particular music and lifestyle event managed to shape an entire generation of people.
