When it comes to music festivals, there are certain things that a festival attendee expects to experience. Each festival is slightly different from one another, so it only makes sense that there would be disparities from festival to festival. But when a festival promises certain amenities and doesn’t deliver, then that isn’t considered a disparity, it is considered fraud.
Well, in 2017, the infamous Fyre Festival took place… Or did it? The scandal that shook the world, was closely related to quite a few A-list celebrities, which made everything that little bit more high-profile. The supposedly luxurious festival took was scheduled to take place in April and May of 2017 but due to weather restrictions and general disorganization, the festival was indefinitely postponed. Shortly after, one of the festival founders was found guilty of fraud and was sentenced to 6 years in prison.
