Know and respect the laws
After all, if you have decided to visit the city you must be aware and follow the rules and laws. This should go without saying for any country that it is not your own, however in Dubai could cost you jail time or even deportation. So do your homework before you arrive and search for Dubai’s law and traditions. Be aware that something as innocent as public demonstration of affection and photographing strangers are not taken kindly.
The United Arabs Emirates enforces decency regulations in all public places with the exception of beaches, bars, waterparks and clubs. Wearing “indecent clothing”, too revealing, transparent or showing too much skin are encoded in Dubai’s criminal law. Islamic dress code is not compulsory, however eastern or western outfits have to comply with the restrictions, which everyone is expected to conform to.
