Private Beach Clubs
Speaking of recommendations, if you are new in town the suggested way to meet people and make new friends is by joining a private beach club. There are several of them in the city and you can bring guests, if any of your friends from back home is in town visiting.
It is a cool place to spend the weekend, some of them offer live bands and shows, others offer good deals in food and drinks. In other countries social places like these are called country clubs and will offer different types of activities. Anyhow this an expatriate tip, they speak out of experience, I will take the advice if I were you.
