Expats tell what it’s really like to live in Dubai

October 17, 2015 by Veronica Phillips

No income taxes

One of the perks of living in this fancy city is the lack of income taxes, really! The government does not impose a tax over your income. This will help to balance the extremely high cost of living you will have to endure. Or it could give you the possibility to go wild and spend money in one of the malls, the street market or any of the gold stores.

You could also invest in any of the real estate opportunities available in the country or abroad. According to many expats, most of them arrive in Dubai with the expectation of saving money for a few years and then go back to their respective countries. However a big percentage fell in love with the dynamic and multicultural environment and they just stayed indefinitely.
