Expats tell what it’s really like to live in Dubai

October 17, 2015 by Veronica Phillips

It rarely rains

We always have to remember Dubai’s location, desert weather does not include rainy days, snowball dolls nor cloudy days. It rarely rains, which means that there is no real break from the heat, there is no real winter at least no as it is known in Europe or the United States and Canada. If you enjoy your long jeans, high boots and look forward to watching movies under a blanket while it pours outside during the weekends, this is not a place for you.

On the upside you could catch a break from the high temperatures by skiing in a mall. As strange as that might sound, there is a Sky resort inside of the Emirates mall, amazing isn’t ? Maybe it is not that terrible after all, and you can get used to the weather, right?
