What Languages Do Pilots Make Their Announcements in?
There are two types of passengers: those who pay attention to every announcement the pilots make and those who couldn’t be bothered. Irrespective of which one you are, you’ve probably wondered which language pilots use around the world and if there’s just one. It completely depends on which part of the world you’re in. In most countries, pilots will stick to English as that’s the general aviation language.
However, in some parts of Europe like France and Spain, you may hear announcements in French or Spanish. The same goes for the Middle East as well as countries like China and Japan. Usually, they will follow it up with an English announcement as well so don’t feel left out.
