Nope, what you’re seeing in this photo is not some trick of light, it actually is a photo of a sidewalk that was built to not meet up with its other half. Why, you may ask? We don’t know. All we know is woe to the casual walker who is not looking where they’re going and walk right off the end of the sidewalk.

I mean, it even looks like construction on this sidewalk isn’t complete. There’s still hope for redemption, people! Maybe they can do a quick re-route to have this sidewalk actually make sense. But unless they’re hiring a team of perfectionists (or just contractors with common sense), hopes are not high for this to be corrected anytime soon.
