A Piece of Steak
This, right here, is what containers are for. Now, this person’s father just put a small piece of steak directly on the shelf in the refrigerator. No container. Not even foil with which to wrap it. Just a cold slab of meat making direct contact with a potentially dirt-riddled and germ-laden fridge shelf.
More than anything, it’s simply unsanitary. Not only that, but a good waste of steak. It’s probably best to keep it sealed for freshness, although now it’s wholly exposed to the frigid elements that the refrigerator can provide. Just put your stuff in containers. It’s better for the other people who have to live with you.
