#17: Special Noodle Delivery
This may look to us like some kind of novelty photo, a beautiful shot staged for the camera to submit to some fancy photo competition or other. No, this is a genuine photo from 1935 of a noodle delivery boy in Japan casually riding his bicycle with his wares. Meanwhile, I can barely balance two plates from the kitchen to the dining room.

Just tell me that you wouldn’t like to be delivered a fresh, steaming bowl of Ramen or Udon in this fashion. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again—the Japanese really know what they’re doing. And even though delivery methods have progressed, I’m sure the noodles will taste just as good in 2024.
