There’s so much going on in the world right now to make you shake your head in anger or disappointment that it seems silly to focus on the small things and let them aggravate you. Still, sometimes, the urge to get mad at these mildly infuriating things is just irresistible. It’s out of our control. We know it’s silly to let these small annoyances or pet peeves get to us, but we can’t help it. People took to the Internet to share these small things in everyday life that are the definition of mildly irritating.
#1: Stop! In the Name of Love
Come on, the holes are right there! You can clearly see these two holes are where the sign was supposed to be screwed. How could anyone miss that? The sign says Stop, “Stop and take a minute to think about what you’re doing,” “Before you hang this sign, stop and pay a little attention to the holes.” You know, that kind of thing.
The person who put up this sign clearly didn’t stop thinking about what they were doing, even for a moment. Instead of using the holes already there, they made new holes! And the worst part is that this is a stop sign—you have to stop when you see it, which means you have to look at it, even for a second, and that second is more than enough to notice this mildly infuriating sign’s setup.
