Too far?
Grooms don’t have as many wedding traditions as brides do, and so they hold on to the few they have. One of the most beloved one is when the guests lift the newly weds on chairs as if they were celebrating their birthday. However, in this case, it seems as if they took it too far – that is, lifted him too high.
The groom was probably high with excitement as it was – he didn’t need to be literally this high to feel the enthusiasm. This seems like one of the worst things that can happen to a groom during his wedding, and something that you’d never expect to happen.
