Patriotism
We thought that at times of crisis people would leave matters such as these behind, and put the benefit of the greater good ahead of themselves, but this goes to show that old habits, and old rivalries, die hard. Obviously, as a joke, it’s a pretty good one, but we find it hard to believe anyone took this seriously.
At time like this, political rivalries aren’t everyone’s top priority, for obvious reasons, but there are still some people who care about politics more than others. It’s hard to believe people of China cares about what their masks look like, after seeing people wearing cabbage, fruits and plastic bottles on their heads.
