Google and Wikipedia Are Your Best Internet Friends
“Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.” Abe Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States said that. One of his most prominent military leaders, Colonel Harland David Sanders, also said, “I’m too drunk to taste this chicken.” And let’s not forget the infamous quote by Martin Luther King, Jr., where he said, “Live long and prosper.”
In case you didn’t know, these are all fake quotes. You don’t have to know a lot about history to know that the internet wasn’t a thing when Abe was in charge, Colonel Sanders was only slightly intoxicated and could still taste his chicken, and that MLK had a dream. As for Marylin Monroe, she’s not exactly a figure anyone should follow for (fake) relationship advice.
