#6: Parents Are People, Too
Realizing that your parents are just average, flawed human beings is probably one of the most important transitions in life but that doesn’t make it any less devastating. I’m lucky that it happened for me at age 11 when my Mom accidentally ran over the neighbor’s dog. There was no coming back from that one.
