Frozen (2013)
If we’ve learned anything from this thread alone, it’s that Disney loves to add adult references that go right over kids’ heads into their animated films. Perhaps they want the parents watching with their kids to enjoy the movies as well. Frozen falls right in line with that. In the hit film, Anna and Hans share a scene where they recognize that they have so much in common, and they lightly dance around the subject of sandwiches.
If you’re an Arrested Development fan, you may have noticed that this scene is an absolute copy, word for word, of the hilarious sitcom. Not only that, this same exact line was used in an episode of The Simpsons, where they showcase Disney writers’ love of including Easter Eggs in their works. Any meta fans in the crowd?
