Before and After
Thanksgiving is magical, but let me make one thing clear: I am not blind to the fact that eating all of that food is not exactly a healthy choice. I think most of us can relate to this side-by-side comparison of Elvis Presleys: no matter how young and spry you’re feeling before the meal, you are going to feel exhausted and bloated afterwards.
It’s really too bad that we can’t make a rule stating that calories aren’t allowed to exist during the holidays. Because if you think about it, the real tragedy of Thanksgiving is that after you eat all of those calories for that holiday, you’ve got the biggest holiday of the year just a month later, and you’re going to eat your weight in gingerbread cookies and candy canes.
