Who Needs Healthy?
Most Thanksgiving food is not particularly healthy. There are vegetables involved, like the celery found in stuffing or the green beans in the green bean casserole, but they are usually so slathered with butter or cream or salt (or, in the best-case scenario, all three) that any health benefits they once had have absolutely vanished by the time they reach the table.

So every now and then, someone gets the idea that they should try to make Thanksgiving foods a little more healthy, such as making the mashed potatoes out of cauliflower. Look, I’m a big fan of a healthy swap 364 days out of the year. But this is Thanksgiving, man. Healthy eating has no place here.
