Capturing snapshots of miscellaneous objects might occasionally come as a surprise. When Ralph Hardy took this photograph, he didn’t realize he was capturing the majesty of this flight of stairs.
It wasn’t until he created up the image that he realized there was something unusual directly in front of him. The steps are on display at London’s National Maritime Museum, where it is said that another person cherished them as much. Ralph quickly convinced himself that he had captured an apparition clutching to the railings ‐ and he isn’t the only one.
