We all love watching movies. Most of the time, there’s nothing I’d rather do than watch a movie (except for writing these stories, of course). However, we can all agree that not all movies were created equal, and some movies are better than others. There can be a big gap between the critical acclaim that a movie invites and how it performs with audiences. #1: The Irishman (2019)
While it can speak to a filmmaker’s grand ambitions, any time a director makes a movie over three hours long, they are asking for some people to leave the cinema. And it really can be a phenomenal film that justifies the running time, but if the payoff is only in the last 30 minutes, you’re bound to lose many viewers long before.
