#15: Should Have Put a Ring on It
I have bad news for this next poster: she might have thought this advice is outdated, but actually, science is on the Boomer’s side. A recent study found that for first-time cohabiting couples, 54% broke up within six years of moving in together, while only 33% got married.

And study after study has found that couples that live together before getting married are significantly more likely to get divorced and report lower satisfaction with their marriage; they’ve even found that women in cohabiting relationships are nine times more likely to be killed by their partner than women in married relationships. Sorry, but this is definitely a point for the Boomers.
