Like we’ve already seen, words are powerful. You can use many words to say something completely meaningless, or you can use a few words to say something important and life-changing. Choose your words carefully. Rather than saying, “it gets better” try saying, “time will put your enemies in the ground.”

If you think about it, “it gets better” or “everything will be okay” is such an empty, meaningless saying. It’s too vague and general, and although we’ve never thought about it in these terms, it’s quite passive. It doesn’t require any action on your side, just an empty belief that things will eventually get better. But what if they don’t?
