Overworked people (which is most of us) and every parent on earth can feel this desire deep into their soul at least once a month. It’s such a hard thing to do. What has happened to society when the last sentence sounds like something I should do at least once in my lifetime?

Jokes aside, we all need to care enough about ourselves to unplug. I’m not suggesting you throw your phone out. Simply put it on airplane mode and read an ebook for several hours with zero texts, emails, phone calls, or demands. Turn on your playlist and jam out while you craft something or cook dinner. Live for yourself for an hour or seven. It’s okay. The world won’t end. If it does, you won’t even know.
