Mongos Castle in Tennessee
The Mongos Castle in Tennessee was developed by Robert Brinkley Snowden (no relation to Edward Snowden). It takes up about 11,000 square feet of space and landed itself on the National Register of Historic Places in the 1980s. It only became known as the Mongos Castle after it was purchased by a new homeowner in the 1990s.
The inside of the Mongos Castle is a lot more modern than one might’ve expected from such a historic building. There’s a swimming pool in the back, a computer room in the basement, and a beautiful kitchen that looks like it’d fit well in the 21st century.
