While introduced in 1967, Lite Brites were prominent in the ’80s and ’90s. You stuck colored pegs into a panel, and then the backlight created a gorgeous picture. You could buy templates and make different characters and art pieces, meaning this toy had plenty of staying power. It’s even still around, so buy one for nostalgia’s sake.
