#8: The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle

From 1959 to 1964, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends captivated audiences with its witty writing and standout humor. Initially broadcasted on ABC before transitioning to NBC, this pioneering color cartoon enthralled audiences and inspired a 2000 film adaptation.

Producing The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends wasn’t financially easy for Comcast’s NBC, costing $125,000 per episode. Despite its creative success, the series was an expensive venture. The 2000 movie adaptation, while ambitious with a $76 million budget, only grossed $35 million, underscoring the challenges of recapturing original enchantment for new audiences.
