Rubik’s cube for blind people
Color is something that many of us take for granted as we go about our everyday lives. Being able to tell when traffic lights are on “stop” or “go,” enjoying a beautiful sunset, or deciding which shirt goes with which pants. Without your sight, however, life is full of very different considerations.
Obviously, simple things like going shopping, or crossing the road are made almost impossible. Engineers and designers have worked hard over the last few decades to create ways to make blind people’s lives easier like bumps on crosswalks, and braille on cans of pop. They’ve turned their hand to more fun problems as well, like this Rubik’s cube for blind people, which uses different raised patterns for players to line up instead of the usual colors.
