Giant flesh-eating plant
Another fabulous plant now, moving to Indonesia, where the world’s largest flower lives within the country’s rainforests. The Rafflesia Arnoldii is a rare flower with a bloom that can grow to up to 3 feet in diameter, and weigh up to 15 pounds.
Unfortunately, as impressive as it is in terms of measurements, it’s a parasitic flesh-eating plant with a terrible smell. You wouldn’t want to stand too close to it if you came across it in the forest. The smell is how it attracts its prey and the insects it relies on for pollination. I can only assume that they all have a very terrible sense of smell.
