A sight to behold
If you’ve ever had the privilege to visit Niagara Falls, then you’ll know how awe-inspiring a sight this spectacle of nature is. Watching the water crash down over the cliff into the depths below it can seem a totally unstoppable force, with man powerless in its wake.
The truth is, however, that man can conquer even the great falls. In 1969 the whole basin of the American Falls, one of the 3 falls that make up the tourist attraction, was drained for engineering works. What the team found once the water had gone was astounding.
