Liability-only insurance policies are a scam. The insurance company will only cover any costs to your vehicle if you caused it yourself. And the worst part is that the company will drag its feet when trying to determine whether or not you intentionally caused damage to your car.
This person, whose vehicle was covered by a liability-only insurance policy, had to take matters into their own hands when the meteorologist predicted an upcoming hail storm. Instead of parking their car in the garage, they covered the hood and roof with pool noodles. That seems like a good idea until a piece of hail the size of a bowling ball comes crashing down.
