#6: Tamam Shud Case (Australia)

In 1948, an unidentified man was found dead on Somerton Beach in Adelaide. In his pocket was a scrap of paper with the Persian phrase Tamam Shud (“It is finished”). Later, a code was discovered in a book linked to him. To this day, the man’s identity and the cipher’s meaning remain unsolved.
