#4: Fozzie Bear’s bad jokes (1976)
The beauty of Fozzie Bear is that he rarely wins the room, and we love him for trying anyway. From the early run of The Muppet Show, Fozzie stood onstage with his porkpie hat, polka-dot tie, and nervous optimism, delivering jokes that often landed with a thud. Frank Oz gave him that lovable, anxious energy of a performer who knows the audience may not laugh but steps forward regardless. “Wocka wocka” became less of a punchline than a survival tool.
