#14: Pigs in Space and sci-fi parody (1977–1981)
Long before every franchise had a parody, Pigs in Space was already sending up science fiction with snouts, uniforms, and glorious overacting. The recurring sketch placed Miss Piggy, Link Hogthrob, and Dr. Julius Strangepork aboard the Swinetrek, where the drama of space adventure was constantly undercut by foolishness. It worked because the production treated the parody with just enough seriousness. There were spaceship sets, announcer narration, costumes, and the rhythm of old serials and televised sci-fi.
