#4: The Real World
Although it is the longest-running TV series in MTV history, sometimes folks forget The Real World ever existed. Over the course of a whopping 33 seasons that began in 1992, this reality show placed seven or eight young adults in a home together where they were filmed at all times. Every season took place in a new location, like New York, Boston, Chicago, or New Orleans, to name a few. The final season came with The Real World: Atlanta in 2019(!) The Real World is often credited as the starting point for reality TV — specifically, how it can always capture everything.
