#18: Me, Myself & Irene (2000)
Charlie Baileygates is a man with split personality disorder, which is now called Dissociative Identity Disorder. Sometimes, Charlie is his mild-mannered self, and other times, he is an overly aggressive Hank. Me, Myself, and Irene is considered problematic in the mental health community because of the dangerous rhetoric the film creates around Charlie’s disorder. It’s also problematic that Charlie is suggested to have schizophrenia when he has a different diagnosis altogether.
