#13: Forrest Gump (1994) vs. Christina’s World (1948) by Andrew Wyeth
You might have missed this one, but it’s a beautiful tribute. In Forrest Gump, a tired Jenny returns to her childhood home. Overwhelmed, she throws rocks at the house before collapsing on the ground in front of it. Director Robert Zemeckis frames the shot to reflect Christina’s World by painter Andrew Wyeth, right in the middle of her suffering.
