Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel
After Australian model, Miranda Kerr got engaged to Snap Chat founder Evan Spiegel she had her mind set on wearing a wedding gown inspired by the iconic gown worn by Grace Kelly at her 1956 wedding to Prince Rainier of Monaco. (See the Grace Kelly gown later on in this slideshow.) So Kerr contacted the artistic director of Dior to see if they could bring her vision to life. The bride-to-be met the design team in Paris and described what she wanted: “A dress that fully covers you creates a sense of purity and mystery,” says the former Victoria’s Secret Angel, which was in stark contrast to her runway persona.

Fun Fact: Kerr’s gown made its debut in Vogue and was photographed by Patrick Demarchelier but the gown was kept completely secret with a full social media ban at the ceremony until that issue of Vogue hit the newsstands.
