Nigeria is often seen or portrayed as a nation in chaos, probably the reason you haven’t visited is because of what you heard and read about the country. Far from disorderliness and chaotic, Nigeria is actually one of the best places to visit in Africa and for good reasons. Have a look at these pictures of the top 10 most beautiful cities in Nigeria you can visit today for leisure or for business.
Before we proceed to the pictures of top 10 most beautiful cities in Nigeria, I want to use this opportunity to correct some misconceptions about security situation in Nigeria. While Boko Haram actual existed and do lots of damages, the truth is that most of us here in Nigeria reads and sees it only in news just as you do. Among the 36 states in Nigeria, Boko Haram is only operational
in about two states in the far north – Borno and Yobe State. Both States are at the far border to Chad towards Sahara Desert which has been a volatile region over the centuries…
The major difference between what is happening now and what has continue to happen over the centuries in that region is media coverage. Sahara Desert to me has been a death region for several decades. Boko Haram is just a spillover of what has been happening in Sudan, Niger, and Chad for decades and does not represent the identity of Nigeria. So when you plan to visit, avoid the extreme Northern cities of Maiduguri, Yobe, and some parts of Adamawa and Gombe and you will be fine. All the most beautiful cities in Nigeria are completely unaffected.
Most of the Nigerian maps you see online that are painted blood are created by delusional paint artists from the US media organizations who has absolutely no knowledge of what is on ground, only relying on fake reports from lazy reporters who knows the truth but trying to create sensationalism to sell.
See the map above for the true picture of the territories where Boko Haram insurgency can be found in Nigeria and even in those tiny area on the map, the security forces are battling them days and nights. Having said that, we can proceed to view the pictures of some of the most beautiful cities in Nigeria.

Enugu, the capital of Enugu state is the second city in the South East that made it to this list for good reasons. It beautiful topography is among the best in the country and it’s one of the most peaceful city in Nigeria.
Most of the states in the East has refused to develop, living on in the past glory. The Governors from the Igboland are the greediest and most stupid of all the politicians in Nigeria, leaving entire region and entire tribe in the hands of underdevelopment. Shame to greedy politician who prefer to make billions in place of meaningful development.

For the reasons best know to the powers that be in Delta State, most of the developments in the state are being concentrated in Warri Delta State, making Asaba which is the capital look like a despised firstborn child. Warri is one of the cities in Nigeria you can drive around without pot holes. It is indeed a beautiful city, everything is near perfect there except it’s rear zero night life.

please its nice and right to promote and paint colourful pictures about your country, but its suicidal to peddle falsehood just to make your country look good, it will rather taint and deepen the bad taughts people have about you when finally the truth pops out…. you and I know the Kaduna and Calabar pictures you pasted aren’t true,,Calabar is one beautiful city same with Kaduna, but why on earth would you use Abuja’s pictures to represent this fantastic cities????
I have never been to Nigeria before but those two pictures I know very well…my guy, you didn’t try at all,,you could have than better…I dey greet from Ghana……
Eric McAllester Tarlue says
Well done but the grammar has to be corrected, OK..
Instead of writing “one of the beautiful city”, you can correctly type”one of the beautiful cities”.
It should be written this way because you are picking one out of many.
Hope you understand.

I m from The republic of Niger and what you are saying about the insecurity that last for decades is completely false . If you wanna make an advertising about your country that’s fine but don’t try to say bullshit about other countries. Niger Never had terrorisme problem before 2011 after the death of Kadhafi and even boko haram began in Nigeria not in Niger or Sudan like you tried to say.
