Anything but Olive Garden
This is a sweet payback! There’s nothing as pleasing as getting back at a coworker you hate. Ideally, we’d all get along well with all our coworkers and become best friends, but in reality, that isn’t always the case. Office rivalries are a real thing, and you can’t always get along with everyone.
This Stephanie person is treating her team leader with contempt, and this lunch was his opportunity to get back at her – very subtly, but where it hurts. He asked if there was anything specific they wanted for their special lunch and Stephanie said “literally anything but Olive Garden”. Guess what they got? That’s right – all you can eat Olive Garden!
