We keep making new discoveries and learning new things about our bodies and the world we live in, and many things that we once believed have turned out to be wrong over the years. Those urban legends, myths, or false claims have been repeated to us so many times growing up that, naturally, we took them for granted. Here are a few misconceptions we all grew up hearing that are completely wrong.
#1: You Only Use 10% of Your Brain
The humans-use-only-ten-percent-of-their-brain myth has been wrongly attributed to many scientists over the years, but it has also been fully debunked. There’s no scientific evidence to back up this claim, and no one knows for sure where it started. The fact is, we use all parts of our brains, sometimes in different capacities and not at the same time, but all areas of the brain have a function that is used regularly.
