#4: “But How Much Can You Bench?”
Always challenge someone who looks about the same strength… unless you want to run the risk of being totally humiliated. The reason? You can’t always tell how strong a person is just by looking at them and judging their gender. How much bulk they gain often depends on the person’s workout approach and routine.
Most advanced yogis are not bulky whatsoever, but very strong nonetheless. Many appear fairly lean, yet are extremely strong and capable of holding themselves or their partners in complicated lifts that seemingly defy gravity for several minutes. Yogis usually focus on building overall strength instead of bulking just one area. So, don’t judge a book by its cover.
