If We’re Being Completely Honest, This Dress Makes Us Think of Tampons.
Something about this photograph screams “Haute Couture in the 1960s” to me. Our understanding is that this gown was created as part of a high-end couture collection for a prestigious French Maison. It took months to complete because there are only six old ladies left in the world who are still proficient in this particular knitting technique.
And four of them lost their vision while working on this gown. If you have the same thoughts as us, we will concede that we are correct. I’m not sure why this dress has the appearance of a tampon, but it does. The only thing that is missing is the string. There. We made our point crystal clear.
