If you read women’s magazines, you know they can truly be a mental and emotional roller coaster. One minute you’re reading about how you can develop independence and self-love, and the next you’re reading about the latest weight loss diet, and how to make sure you can get a boyfriend. What are we even supposed to do with that?
The dessert recipe after the weight loss article is definitely the worst. How are we supposed to feel about that? It just makes you feel bad on two different counts, and then on top of it, you have to feel guilty for not loving yourself enough. Maybe we can just cut out the middle one and stick with self-love and dessert.
