Maps are not for everyone. Frankly, they can be quite boring and hard to understand. But there’s a section of the Internet dedicated to alternative maps; maps that are for people who enjoy and appreciate maps, as well as people who find them boring. These maps aren’t about geography but pretty much everything else, from the fast food industry to our emotional tendencies. Here’s a selection of these maps that anyone can enjoy and learn from.
#1: Different Alphabets Around the World
We live in a very vast, wide, and culturally diverse world. And even though it seems we couldn’t be further away from each other these days, we might have more in common than we think. At the end of the day, many languages originated from the same place.
When you look at this map and see all the different alphabets that exist in the world, it has the potential to make you feel as though we aren’t all so different. Because even though there are 195 countries in the world, there is only this amount of alphabet. That’s gotta count for something, right?
