Disneyland is known as the happiest place on world. Disneyland and Disneyworld are basically the Mecca for children where all their dreams come true. Even some adults can’t help but feel the magic associated with the park. It’s no secret that Disney goes above and beyond to make sure that anything less than magical is hidden from the general public. However, with all the hustle and bustle that goes on within Disney Parks, it’s extremely common for things to slip through the cracks that are, well, less than magical. Lucky for us, Disney employees have come through and given us eyewitness accounts of some of the craziest things they’ve seen at work.
Dumbo Up to His Ears in Vomit
Disney parks seem like a fun workplace, right? Well, think again: Disney forbids all suited characters from taking off their heads at any time unless they’re in the cast members-only areas of the park. They don’t want to ruin kids’ dreams of these characters being real or taking the magic out of the situation. Even if a character is suffering from a heatwave, Disney doesn’t care; those costumes are to stay on at all costs.
One fine day during a parade, the guy playing Dumbo was feeling super nauseous and knew that vomiting was inevitable. He was between a rock and a hard place because his two choices were to take off his head and risk get fired, or, well, something a lot more gross. That is until Dumbo realized he had a third choice: “I could just puke in this helmet, and no one would ever know.” And that’s exactly what he did! That poor guy deserves a massive raise for acting jolly during a parade with barf caught in his head.
