Earlier, you saw a nail go through the skin of someone’s foot. Now, imagine that the thing you step on wasn’t a nail or a sharp object, but rather a rattlesnake that feels threatened by your presence. Yeah, if this person had stepped on this snake, it would pretty much be game over for this guy.
Look at how well this snake blends into its surroundings. That’s millions and millions of years of evolution for ya. This hiker wouldn’t have noticed the snake until it was far too late to do anything about it. Luckily, not only did they not step on a pissed-off snake, but they actually got a pretty neat shot of it from up-close. That’s probably pushing your luck, if we’re being honest.
