Small objects at high velocity = dangerous
Once again, we’d like to draw your attention to just how flimsy car windshields are. They work great at blocking air and rain from getting in your eyes, but when it comes to stopping solid objects, they’re nothing more than a thin sheet of delicate glass.
The tiniest object can pierce through your car’s windshield if you’re traveling fast enough. Just look at how this insignificant nail became a piece of shrapnel that could’ve dug a hole into this guy’s face. By the OP’s account, the nail missed them by just a few inches. Would it be reasonable to ask all car owners to wear helmets while driving?
