One man’s trash is another man’s brand-new PC

McDonald’s is well-known for coming up with all kinds of schemes to sell more french fries. One such scheme was offering a $1 scratch-off ticket for every purchase of fries and sodas. If you won, you could use the money to purchase anything you wanted from Best Buy.

Someone discovered that more scratch-off tickets were being tossed along with any wrappers and receipts. So, with frugality in their mind, the customer went through garbage heaps and found hundreds of winning tickets. They used the tickets at Best Buy and got a brand-new computer for the cost of smelling like trash for a week. We’d pay that cost any day.
