Edu stands for free trials

If you’re unfamiliar with Amazon Prime, it’s a service that offers free delivery for select purchases. With a Prime account, you’re eligible to receive discounts on all sorts of products and streaming services. Normally, you’d have to fork over more than $100 to sign up but using an .edu account can give you free access for a month.

A student realized that their university allowed students to create as many email accounts as they wanted. So, after connecting the dots, said student created more accounts than they’d need and signed up for free month-long Prime access whenever an account expired.
