Never give up on the parking

We know how costly parking can be in the city. Plus, if the meter runs out before the meter maid gets there, you’re looking at a hefty fine. However, one person exploited a loophole so big, you’d think that the government was asking for it.

In this particular city, if you didn’t have coins on hand, the parking meters would take gift cards as payment. But here’s the thing. It didn’t matter if the gift cards had a balance or not. If you swiped it, the meter took it. And if the card was banned, you could use another empty gift card in its place. This neat trick saved a frequent parker over $2,500 in fines!
